So the season has come to an end and we have setup our hives for the winter. A final mite treatment of oxalic acid was applied, and 2 large soft sugar fondant cakes have been added to ensure they have enough feed till spring. We have also winterized the hives by adding foil covered bubble wrap to cut down on any unwanted drafts in the hive.
